F-Secure digifest spring ’10 – the biggest computer game festival in the Baltics
Digifest MTÜ is organizing a three-day computer game festival at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds from April 30th to May 2nd. Everybody who is interested in computer games, is expected. The visitors can stay overnight, bring their own computer and participate in various computer-, console- and board games hosted by digifest. Various organizations and companies will be present demonstrating their new products and hosting different entertaining events for the visitors.
F-Secure digifest spring ’10 is the second event hosted by digifest MTÜ, which takes places at the Tallinn Song Festival Grounds over the span of three days. There are seats for up to 400 participants and spectators are also expected who can, for example, enjoy the overclocking show, presentations, different video games and experiments with technology.
There are different prized events the visitors can partake, a total of 6:
* Counter-Strike 1.6 (5v5 team based strategic first person shooter)
* Call of Duty 4 (5v5 team based strategic first person shooter)
* Heroes of Newerth (5v5 team role based strategy game)
* Quake Live (solo based first person shooter)
* TrackMania Nations (solo based arcade rally)
* IRONMAN – a unique event specially designed for digifest which consists of five different games where the 10 best in each game receive points. After all the rounds in each game, the scores are added up and the player with the best overall score will be declared the winner.
The prize for IRONMAN’s winner is a PlayStation 3, 2nd and 3rd place are awarded with a PlayStation Portable.
Quake Live and TrackMania Nations winners receive an 8gb iPod Nano 5.5 with a camera.
In rest of the games, there are various gaming mice, mousepads, headsets and such for the winners.
Visitors can also take part in raffles, unofficial games and win different prizes, for example in the Kuma dart game, WePlay’s card games or see how Macs can run games.

BYOC ticket in pre-sale: 299eek
BYOC ticket at the venue: 350eek
3-day spectator ticket: 50eek (spectators must leave the event before 12am and can re-enter at 9am; a spectator ticket does not include a table seat, a chair, ethernet cable and can’t be used to take part in official games)
All tickets are 50% off for girls. Every visitor also receives a free one-year license of F-Secure’s Internet Security 2010, which is sold for 900eek in stores.
So far, an event such as digifest is unique in the Baltic states and everybody who is interested in the computer world and games, is expected. Spectators can also bring their laptop and use the free WiFi network.
Everybody can find something for theirselves at the event, there are multiple PlayStation 3 games such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, SingStar, Colin McRae etc.
There is also a game of virtual golf, where a special wall simulates a golf drive, you can come and see how a computer is overclocked with liquid nitrogen at -196C or listen to a computer security seminar.
There is on-site catering, showering and sleeping possibilities, for the latter, it is recommended you bring a mattress, sleeping bag and a pillow.
